Ever since Ni No Kuni has been announced in Japan, a lot of gamers in North America are anticipating for a stateside release. Today, Level-5 confirmed that Ni No Kuni on the PlayStation 3 will be releasing in North America in early 2012.
Ni No Kuni is currently in development by Studio Ghilbi, creatores of great animes such as Spirited Away, Castle in the Sky, etc. The game is scheduled for release in Japan this November while North America will have to wait for several months for its release.
“During a Sony Computer Entertainment Asia press conference near Tokyo Game Show 2011′s venue, Level-5 president Akihiro Hino today mentioned during an interview panel that an English version of the game is in production, and confirmed its release window.”
As a reminder, Ni No Kuni for the Nintendo DS is a different version from the ones on the PS3. According to Level-5, Ni No Kuni on the PlayStation 3 takes place after the events on the DS version. The gameplay and story elements will be somewhat different on the handheld.
