Square Enix has today revealed that Deus Ex: Human Revolution will be available on Steam and will have some Steamworks features.
The game which is scheduled for release in August is apparently to make “a triumphant return to its franchise PC roots” with Steam providing digital availability. Eidos Montreal who have made an agreement with Steam believe this will boost accessibility to the title and the series.
Square Enix also released the following statement on Deus Ex: Human Revolution and its Steamworks features:
DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION will support a host of Steamworks® features such as auto-updating, Steam Achievements and Steam Cloud support. Available in the standard version and the robust Augmented Edition on Steam, gamers will be able to enjoy the Deus Ex experience of their choice.
