While Notch had originally stated stated that the update would be this week, he has just revealed that it has been delayed till next week.
The reason given behind the short delay is “There’s been significant feature creep (we’ve got powered rails now, and lightning hitting a pig will turn it into a zombie pigman)”.
Well extra features are always good news and from the explaination, no further problems have occured with the stats and achievements system.

Does this mean with the lightning it hits land and cause bush fires or not im really desperate to know and with the “pigman” scenario if the diffuclty is on peaceful will this prevent that from happening please reply i need answers. Kyle
Lightning will light blocks on fire, but the falling rain will immediately put it out. As for the zombie pigmen, i’m not too sure.
so there is only lightning when its raining thats good to hear thank you very much :) pigmen not to worried about though ahha
