Credits in Halo Reach is very important since the Spartan’s armor can be upgraded via the Armory menu in the game. Did you know that there’s an easier way to get 20,000 credits?
According to our tipsters, there are only five easy steps in acquiring that 20,000 credits in just ten minutes. Below are the five easy steps courtesy of our tipsters:
Step 1: Choose ONI:Sword Base in Campaign on Normal with free for all score.
Step 2: Run through the level till you can pick up the Target Locator.
Step 3: Walk to the door and wait for a “Checkpoint”
Step 4: Fire at the enemies!
Step 5: Press start, choose “Revert to last save” and let teh credits roll!
We tried the glitch and it works!

roger, ur a moron. the armor DOES in fact “do” something. i have tested it cuz that’s what i thought too. a spartan wearing default armor with NO upgrades WILL die faster than a fully redesigned “dress up” spartan, some pieces of armor provide slightly higher damage protection while other armor provides less weight for greater speed. so roger, do ur reasearch before u go insulting a multi-million dollar corporation beacause u dont like an aspect of one of their games, have a good day

In response to elogenu503, all of the armor permutations/upgrades are purely aesthetical. In other words, they do not make you weigh any lighter or heavier. Bungie stated this in their weekly updates a few weeks back.

The armor doesn’t make any difference to damage taken, you just look significantly more badass when you’ve been kitted out.
Hey smart guy (elohenu503), check out this little bit from Bungie’s website:
“Access The Armory by pressing Start from any menu, highlighting The Armory, and pressing right on the left stick or D-pad. As you play, you will progress through a tiered grading system and you’ll be rewarded with Credits that you can spend on VISUALLY UPGRADED GEAR.”
Just cause it hints to it in the description doesn’t mean its not anything more than aesthetic because according to Bungie all the armor upgrades are purely aesthetic. Maybe you should do your own research buddy.

elohenu503, roger is right in the sense that armor doesn’t do anything bungie even said in an interview with G4 that the armor doesn’t do anything but roger, who cares if it doesn’t do anything it is still fun to make your spartan look awesome especially in campaign cuz it looks awesome in the cut scenes i personally want the EVA helmet with happy birthday armor affect
The thing about this glitch is that it leaves you unable to obtain credits through the campain if you do it too much. The only use it would leave you, is the way it helps you gain commendations. So my advice is to do this in moderation. 20,000 or so credits per 3 days.
In the mean time try Gruntapocolypse on corvette, through score attack.
i wish i could get somthing like the pilot helmet but thats one of the hardest to get because you have to get every base helmet to get it im over half way there
this does NOT work anymore. I recieve 0 (zero credits). Only time I get credits is when I click end game and I only get 60 for “complete game”

‘umm yea’ you tit, it credit boosts because of commendations, the splash damage one to be precise, whever you get a higher level in splash damage, the amount of credits recieved drop… a lot. When on silver its around 150 for a good shot, gold around 6o and onyx …. 0-6 depending on what you hit, so dont neg it because you used it too much.
It DOES work you can max out splash damage and walking tank by revertin to last save every time you use target locator and when you get killionare revert save and do it again.only use the 1st shot because by the time you get the second shot a second checkpoint activates. I maxed splash damage and walking tank and a few others in jus 1-2 hours (not all at once but all together. It does work maybe some of you arnet doing it right if you need help send me a friend request. FND RICH

in reply to umm yea, i also had the same problem to start with. dunno why but it gave me no creds for it but 60 when i quit. never quite worked out why not or why it randomly started giving me credits but one way or another now it works for me. Can i suggest you try being connected to xbox live, set scoring to free for all, and do it on normal or heroic. – also just for kicks, when i do it, i have cowbell,IWHBYD and Grunt birthday party skulls on

The armor is purely aesthetic. But that doesn’t mean that some pieces aren’t better than others for certain gametypes, i.e. SWAT.
You probably don’t want to roll into a SWAT match wearing an EVA or pilot helm with a silver visor. No, you probably want EOD or Gungnir, and a black visor. So yeah, they are purely aesthetic, but sometimes aesthetics can be useful. Also, anyone who has studied camoflage knows about breaking up a silhouette to disguise an object, in this case, a human. So having unusually shaped bits might make you slightly less noticeable, so long as you’re not playing a team game and get stuck with nasty bright red or blue armor.
Please, don’t place all your hopes on your armor style saving your ass, but it can give a slight edge in certain situations. And ffs, don’t use that damn flaming head shit you got in the Legendary edition in a SWAT match. At the very least, don’t use it when you’re on my team. Fuckin’ noobs.

i have tried this glitch. there is supposed too be a little black box in the botten left corner above the motion tracker. and the credits dont show. do i need to sign in to xbow live.
you have to be online, when off you gain less than 100 cr offline only, even silver can do this glitch
