Fat Princess: Fistful of Cakes Hands-On Impression

Fans who love playing Fat Princess on the PlayStation 3 would be happy to know that in just a couple of weeks, they will finally have a chance to play on-the-go as the PSP version of Fat Princess will finally be released. A couple of weeks ago, I received the final build of the PSP version of Fat Princess and one of the first things I noticed is that the game is very similar to its PSN counterpart; its controls, functions, and modes are completely identical.

Fat Princess: Fistful of Cakes offers the same game modes as the ones found on the PS3 version. The story of Fat Princess: Fistful of Cakes is the same as the console version but it is more expanded and more depth to it. I went ahead and did a side-to-side comparison of the PSP and PS3 versions and the narration of the story of Fistful of Cakes is much longer. As for the characters and classes, nothing’s changed. The graphics look very crisp and none of them are degraded from the PS3 version. Other modes that can be found in Fistful of Cakes are Gladiate and Mess About.

Gamers who loved the multiplayer aspect of Fat Princess will be happy to know that Fistful of Cake includes both ad-hoc and infrastructure play. Just on the PSP version, Fistful of Cakes includes new multiplayer modes such as Grim Reaper, Dilapidated, Demolition and Jailbreak. I’ll go more into the details of the online mode with our review in just two weeks. There’s also six more maps that are included exclusively on the PSP version; venture through new forest, volcanoes and a lot more.

Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake review is embargoed until April 19th. I will go more into details on the game and you should expect our review as the embargo is lifted in just a couple of weeks. So far, Fat Princess: Fistful of Cakes will not disappoint the fans who love playing the PS3 version.
