It looks like Sony is now readying PS4 system update 6.0 very soon because the company is already taking in registrations for beta testers this month. It will only be a matter of time until we know what type of new features will be coming to the console in the near future.
As of time of writing, registrations are only available to users over in Japan and North America. The registration period starts today on July 19th and will run until July 27th. After that date, users will then be contacted via email to know if they have been chosen for the beta or not.
All you need to do to register is give Sony your email and PSN account details. Don’t worry if you miss out being chosen in the beta because not everyone gets a chance to be selected.
Anyway, this is a sign that system update 6.0 should be out before the end of the year. It will be interesting to see what type of new features Sony will be releasing for the PS4 console.
