The evil Marvel villain Thanos will let his presence be known in the video game Fortnite thanks to a unique crossover event. The best part about this is the fact that the character will be playable for one lucky player!
As reported exclusively by Entertainment Weekly, Epic Games and Marvel have agreed for a special crossover event allowing Thanos to invade Fornite for a limited time.
The game mode that will be available on May 8th is called “Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup”. It will still be a Battle Royale match, but hidden in the map is one Infinity Gauntlet that contains all of the Infinity Stones.
The first player that is able to find the Infinity Gauntlet in the match will be able to transform into Thanos and wield all of its powerful skills. Everyone will be powerless against Thanos so that one lucky player is going to have a lot of fun!
Avengers: Infinity War director Joe Russo commented to EW: “Over the past few months, while we were editing Infinity War, we’d take breaks to hop on and get in a few games. And then we started thinking, how cool would it be to have some kind of Avengers–Fortnite mashup? So we stalked Donald. (Epic Games Creative Director)“.
The new game mode is coming tomorrow in Fortnite and is free to all players. You can download and play the game now on PS4, Xbox, PC, Mac, and iOS.
