Treyarch To Hire A Character Artist To Work On Call of Duty 2018

Call of Duty 2018 is due out later this year and it’s Treyarch’s turn to show us what they have got. We don’t know the setting of the game yet, but the game studio is currently searching for a temporary character artist to work on the game soon.

Treyarch posted the job listing on the official Activision website. The position is for a “Character Artist-Body (Temporary)”. A description for the job has been posted down below.

Treyarch is looking for an incredibly passionate and talented temporary character artist with a focus on clothing and gear to help us create realistic characters. A successful candidate would need to understand the important nuances of how clothing of both soft and hard surfaces mold to the human form in a realistic way. This candidate will need to have the important balance of quality and speed, while being able to adapt to changes in direction to achieve our project deadline“.

Some of the qualifications you need include console and PC game development, experience working with game engines, artwork skills, plus knowledge of Photoshop and other applications like that.

You need to submit a resume plus show them your portfolio of work in order to be successful. Presumably, you also must be familiar with Treyarch too since the developer has worked on many Call of Duty games in the past such as the popular Black Ops series.

Activision is likely to reveal Call of Duty 2018 sometime later this year. Due to the popularity of Call of Duty: WWII, it’s possible this year’s game will also be from an older setting. People didn’t like the futuristic setting of Infinite Warfare in 2016 and it was one of the lowest selling COD games in recent memory because of the big change in scenery.
