A New Third Party Nintendo Switch Controller Has Been Revealed

Third party console controllers aren’t always reliable, although they are usually a cheaper alternative for gamers on a budget. Well a new and interesting looking Nintendo Switch controller has been revealed by a company called ViGRAND.

ViGRAND is a Chinese company and you can buy it from AliExpress. It costs $24.99 which is cheaper than $69.99 for an official Nintendo Switch pro controller.

The best thing about the controller is that it’s compatible on both the PC and Switch platforms. Sadly, stock is unavailable at the moment but chances are more stock could arrive in the near future. It might be worth buying for a friend and/or family member as a second controller.

It’s a wireless controller using Bluetooth technology. It gives you five hours of playing time wirelessly and charge times are usually between 2 to 3 hours long. Bear in mind, this controller does not have NFC support like the official Joy-Cons.

If you look at the controller, you can see that it resembles the controller for the Ouya. The Ouya was an android based console that connected to your TV. It gained a lot of media attention mainly because it earned well over $8 million from fans via Kickstarter.

Alas, the Ouya was a flop and nobody has heard from it every again. The Switch is the opposite of this as it has become one of the most sought after video game items in recent memory.

Third party controllers are sometimes reliable, while other times they are horrible. I don’t own a Switch, but many of the third party controllers I’ve bought for my PS4 broke in only few days of use. Hopefully those that buy this new controller is able to get their money’s worth.
