Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Open Beta Changes Its Roster Slightly

If you were unable to play as your favorite character in Dissidia Final Fantasy NT yet, well your luck has turned because Square Enix is doing a roster rotation. This means you can play as characters that were previously unavailable in the open beta before.

The official Final Fantasy Twitter page announced the following message:”#DissidiaFFNT Open Beta Test maintenance will be taking place at 21:00 GMT/13:00 PST today while we prepare for the first character rotation.
The Open Beta Test will resume at 22:00 GMT/14:00 PST and the following characters will be playable.

The following characters are now available for you to play: Warrior of Light, Garland, Cloud of Darkness, Sephiroth, Kain Highwind, Kuja, Tidus, Lightning, Kefka Palazzo, Ultimecia, Shantoto, Ace, Bartz Klauser, Exdeath and Vaan.

It seems as if the beta will still not allow you to play as Noctis just yet. Don’t worry though because he will be fully playable when the full game comes out later this month.

However, another beta update will be released on January 18th that will bring us yet another character rotation. It’s a good thing Square Enix is beta testing the game before launch in order to make sure the servers stay up and running when people actually buy the game.

Despite having a huge roster, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT still has a lot of missing favorites. Characters like Tifa from Final Fantasy 7 and Yuna from Final Fantasy X were in the older games in the franchise, but aren’t a part of the launch roster of this game. Square Enix has already revealed that the game will be getting future DLC so hopefully they appear in the future instead.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will be released on January 30th, 2018 exclusively for the PS4 console. If you live in Japan, you can actually try to play the game now at an arcade.
