EA Decreases The Cost Of Star Wars Battlefront 2 Heroes Thanks To Fan Backlash

Unlocking some heroes in Star Wars Battlefront 2 was a pain in online multiplayer because they cost so much credits. Well now EA has listened to the fans and is making heroes more accessible.

When the game was available for EA Access players, heroes like Luke Skywalker cost 60,000 credits to attain. Some other major characters were 40,000 credits. This was a big problem because you don’t earn much credits after playing online multiplayer matches. It would have taken you HOURS to get each character.

EA has now announced some big changes are coming so that fans will be happy. The cost of hero characters have been reduced by 75%. Check out their statement down below via the official website.

EA writes: “So, we’re reducing the amount of credits needed to unlock the top heroes by 75%. Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader will now be available for 15,000 credits; Emperor Palpatine, Chewbacca, and Leia Organa for 10,000 credits; and Iden at 5,000 credits. Based on what we’ve seen in the trial, this amount will make earning these heroes an achievement, but one that will be accessible for all players. It’s a big change, and it’s one we can make quickly. It will be live today, with an update that is getting loaded into the game.

EA will continue to listen to fan feedback so hopefully online multiplayer won’t be such a grind. Thankfully there is the single player and Arcade modes to play if you still hate the online controversies.
