Sony has announced that it had a very successful Holiday season. Sales for both Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and the PS4 console were really strong.
During the Holiday season, 6.2 million units of the PS4 console were sold. As of January 1st, 2017, sales of the console as a whole are now at 53.4 million units worldwide.
The Holiday season was also strong for software sales. During the Holidays, 50.4 million software copies were sold. Leading the charge is Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End which now has lifetime sales of 8.7 million copies globally.
2017 will be an even bigger year for the PlayStation brand with exclusives such as Gran Turismo Sport, Horizon: Zero Dawn and more coming out.
