Guerrilla Cambridge is set to be shut down by Sony according to a report from Gamesindustry.biz. The studio was opened 19 years ago and worked on a lot of titles.

According to the report, Sony says that the redundancies are “regrettable” and the decision was made when they were reviewing all PlayStation studios and projects. They just mentioned they had to make some changes in the European studios.

The main Guerrilla Games studio from Amsterdam is not affected by this. This is the more famous developer responsible for the Killzone series and the upcoming Horizon: Zero Dawn video games. No other studios in Sony’s portfolio have been affected either.

Sony is trying to help employees that are affected by relocating them to other UK based studios. This includes other Sony studios to even third party developers.

Guerrilla Cambridge had a respectable portfolio as they developed the fun MediEvil video game as well as Killzone: Mercenary and RIGS: Mechanized Combat League
