To prepare for the release of Shenmue 3, we may be getting a Shenmue Remastered video game thanks to several domain names that have been registered.
TSSZ pointed out that Sega Europe filed for the domain of ShenmueHD.com recently. However, they also filed domains for both SheMnUeGame.com and ShenmueRemastered.com too.
This is an indication that we may see a re-release of the first or second games of the series. Not many people played the older games as they were available for the Sega Dreamcast.
The sequel was actually ported over to the original Xbox console, but sadly not many people played that version either. These domains are a clue that we will see remastered versions so more people can play these underrated classics.
Shenmue 3 is still in production and is expected to be available for PS4 and PC. There’s still no release date so we will have to wait for more details on that front. Hopefully it won’t take them too long to release the remaster(s).
