The Elder Scrolls Online officially opens the “Crown Store”

Today is the day every PC gamers have been waiting for- The Elder Scrolls Online is now free-to-play to those who have previously purchased the game on PC and with that announcement, the Crown Store is now open.

As previously reported, the Crown Store in The Elder Scrolls Online is an in-game shop that gives the player an ability to purchase cosmetic items with real money. For those who remains a subscriber, a complimentary 500 Crown points will be awarded every month and it can be used in the Crown Store. Items like mounts, pets, vanity items like EXP boost are among the things that will be available for purchase via the Crown Store.

Since the game has turned to free-to-play to gamers who previously owned the game, buy-to-play for anyone who haven’t picked up the game, the Crown Store will also offer DLC packs to further expand the game. Those who are a subscriber will get the DLC packs for free, along with the complimentary crowns that they can spend on the Crown Shop.

If you are playing on PC, simply launch the client to update it and you will be able to play The Elder Scrolls Online for free.
