Ever since it launched last October, Battlefield 4 has been plagued with a number of issues, whether it was bugs or server problems. Some of those problems have been fixed, but server issues have still be an issue at times. As a result, EA has announced that Battlefield 4 will soon offer rentable servers to gamers that are interested.
When asked about rentable servers on the Battlelog messageboard, EA_Stiv responded with the following:
Indeed, it is coming. I’m afraid we don’t have any information on this quite yet, but it is coming soon! Keep your eyes peeled on the Control Room and Battlefield blog, as those are most likely where you’ll see it announced first.
This isn’t a first, as Battlefield 3 did the same, but ended up having more demand than expected, which hurt the public servers. Hopefully they have learned their lesson this time and planned accordingly.
