Bloober Team Apologizes For Basement Crawl Issues In Open Letter

Basement Crawl

Basement Crawl finally arrived earlier this week on the PlayStation 4 after being delayed at the last minute in January. However, it has been far from a problem-free launch with many issues plaguing gamers in the limited time it has been available. As a result, Blooper Team has released an open letter from company vice president, Piotr Bielatowicz, apologizing for these issues and vowing that they are working to fix it as soon as possible.

In our pre-release testing and QA process, we didn’t encounter these issues. They emerged only after the game went public. Had we known about these issues, we would have delayed the release further until all known bugs were fixed.

With that said, as a whole, the community has been patient and understanding and we want to thank you for that.

We have been listening carefully to the community and what you have to say about the game, and we want to assure you that we will be fixing all outstanding bugs. We have received and continue to receive great feedback from players that has helped us identify the issues and we will be fixing as fast as possible.

He also hints at future updates suggested by fans, such as a single-player mode and tutorial, but they won’t be focusing on that until the existing problems are handled. Bloober Team is a adding a few multiplayer modes in the meantime though with Elimination, where each player has a limited number of respawns, and Rounds, where the last man standing gets a point until you reach a certain number. There will also be maps and a few small features implemented as well.
