Man versus alien in desperate battle – Space Hulk pre-order sales begin today on Steam.
From today the turned based strategy game Space Hulk based on the legendary boardgame of the same name is available for pre-order on Steam, with the added bonus for doing so of two exclusive pieces of downloadable content: a personal banner pole usable in multiplayer and an alternate Genestealer skin for use in single player.
Set in the enormously popular Warhammer 40,000 universe depicting the claustrophobic, tense battle between the elite Space Marine Terminators and the alien Genestealers, Space Hulk will be familiar to many. This video game adaptation is heavily based on the first (and very similar third) version of the boardgame originally released in 1989, featuring the same 12 mission campaign as well as an additional three prequel missions. These missions will be fully playable in single-player or adversarial multiplayer, either in hot-seat or via the internet.
The game launches globally August 15th on PC & Mac, at the price point of £22.99, $29.99 or €27.99 dependent on region, with an iPad release to follow later in the year.
