Tecmo Koei has released a nice new gameplay trailer for Dead or Alive 5. A guest in the game will be Akira from the Virtua Fighter series.
The trailer is over 2 minutes long. At the end of the trailer we see a Virtua Fighter 5 logo. Could this mean more Virtua Fighter people will be in Dead or Alive 5? Tecmo also released a comparison image of Kasumi in the game. She looks more mature and realistic in the new game as you can see from the image above.
Dead or Alive 5 is due out later this year for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

March 5, 2012 at 4:47 PMvery cool. the most respected fighting game in history, virtua fighter joins the most exciting fighter in history. perfect match up. doa4 was very deep and more strict in timing and VF is just strict period. these are fighters people should be playing. not throwin fireballs.

March 6, 2012 at 1:59 PMIt’s good to see Sega and Tecmo collaborating. Even though the mechanics from both games are a bit complicated (I know from VF, Akira is not the beginner type to use), having a character from another 3D fighting game wasn’t a bad idea. Sega gets the half of the cut for having him on DOA5 while Tecmo will get the half for making the game. I still prefer Street Fighter because of its simplicity, but this one is good as well. Tekken is too much for me to be honest. It’s just my opinion.
