As noted on IGN, Halo developer Bungie revealed at GDC 11 the genre of what its next game will be.
Bungie will not be developing a FPS game but it will be making an MMO. Bungie lead network engineer David Aldridge confirmed at the event that the developer’s next title is a “massively multiplayer action game.”
He said that this is not “WoW in Space” as many thought the game would have been.
No other details for the were shared but it’s expected to be a multiplatform title since Bungie signed with Activision Blizzard to develop game for more than one platform.
