Phillip Earl the Executive Vice President from Activision has announced that a Call of Duty title will be coming to the NGP (PSP2). Earl made many bold comments during the announcement such as, the NGP “Will change the way people play games, on the go” followed swiftly by “Call of Duty, for NGP, will set the bar, for the next generation of portable gaming”.
Earl also praised the NGP’s key features such as “The OLED screen” and “Social connectivity options”, saying that for the NGP the possibilities are “endless”.
Will such an announcement from Activision will this help pre-order sales of the NGP or will people still look for more from the handheld device due to the anticipated high price?
I found on this Modern Warfare 3 http://mwarfare3.com website that Olin confirmed Treyarch would not be developing Call of Duty NGP. Quoting they have no time to work on it. I guess the team is busy at work on Black Ops. I wonder if Sledgehammer will pick the game up.
