Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Am I able to return to Sierra Madre after I leave the bunker?
A: NO, once you leave the bunker, you cannot go back again. Make sure you do what you have to do inside the Sierra Madre before leaving.
Q: How do I gain access to the Dead Money DLC?
A: Once you downloaded the DLC, wait for a day in-game and the quest will appear. Head to the Abandoned SOS Bunker and investigate the radio signal you received. When you go inside, your companions will leave your party and you will start a completely new adventure in Sierra Madre.

Just completed this new content and I was kind of disappointed. All the talk about the treasures of the Sierra Madre and there was nothing! The Treasure in the actual vault is so heavy, it’s value isn’t worth it weight. Most/all vendors don’t even have the caps to trade for it. The only thing I have to take away is the rifle you get when you arrive and it doesn’t compare to the other weapons I had before I started this dlc

December 30, 2010 at 1:38 AMLike John said, this was fairly disappointing. There are no real rewards for doing the quest other than the story. It was the most difficult of any of the Fallout quests, definitely. Something difficult can be gratifying, but only when you receive something for your work. This was kinda like a beautiful woman telling you she will have sex with you if you burn your eyes out with a hot piece of metal, but then runs away laughing after you go through with it. Still raises the level cap, which is cool, and the assassin’s armor is ok, but there really aren’t any other items of any salt. 5/10. New Vegas is still a high 8/10, overall in my opinion though.

The DLC is fine, you just missed the whole point is all. It’s about greed, do you take too much and die or take little and live. It’s called Dead Money for a reason. The new weapons are cool, the Bear Trap Fist is better than any unarmed weapon. The DLC also made use of items that in the normal game world are pretty useless. The DLC also makes you use skills that in the normal game you don’t rely on as much.
I think the DLC is great. It sets the stage for the rest of the story. It is much more enjoyable than any of the FO3 DLC packs.
I don’t get the hate for it at all. Whah you don’t get much out of it. What you get out of it is more game playability, the ONLY thing you need to get out of it.

March 3, 2011 at 9:01 PMJust finished not satisfied I don’t know why they decided to make it so linear kinda disappointed as fallout is about doing it your way. Felt very confined by the speaker system felt like I spent most of the time watching my head blow off looking for the stupid speakers. What is with the miasma?
