Activision has shared details on the new multiplayer modes that will appear in Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Here are some of the details shared from Activision:
Combat Training
Is a mode where you can go up against AI controlled bots by yourself or with a few friends. This mode will have its own progression system and is recommended for players wanting to practice before they head off playing against human players online. It’s also a great feature if you don’t have access to the internet at home.
Killstreak Rewards
A number of new weapons will be available as rewars for those players able to earn themselves a Killstreak during multiplayer. New weapons and equipment include: a mini gun, grenade launcher, Napalm Strike, Gunship, Mortar Team, Remote Controlled car, and a SAM (Surface-to-Air-Missile) Turret.
COD Points
COD Points act as currency in the game and allows you to use it to unlock new weapons and so forth.
Gambling
A unique way to earn more COD Points is to put your points up on the line and wager on matches. The top three players will split up the overall pot.
New Multiplayer Game Modes
“Sticks and Stones” is where you have to kill your opponents only using a crossbow and a knife. No gun or grenades are allowed.
“Gun Game” is where you will earn more powerful weapons the more kills you have. You all start off with pistols until you eventually upgrade to a shotgun or a sniper rifle.
“Sharp Shooter” is where all players will only use the same weapon. It’s randomly selected and cycles during a match.
Also promised is a more in-depth customization so you can change your weapons’ decals, targeting system and a lot more.
