Quickscoping. You either love it or hate it. In Call of Duty 4 sniper lobbies were always around but it seemed in Modern Warfare 2 it leaked out on mass into public matches. Well if you are one of those people who hated it you’ll be pleased to know that Treyarch have done something about it.
While not removing it in any way Treyarch have set out to at least make it a little more challenging than in Modern Warfare 2 in their upcoming title CoD: Black Ops.The multiplayer director at Treyarch, David Vahn Vonderhaar, tweeted that “Sleight of Hand Pro does not work with any sniper class weapon.”
Will snipers enjoy the extra challenge or will this just cause them to lay down their sniper rifles for the much more run and gun friendly assault rifle? Well it seems we will have to wait till November when Black Ops is released to find out.

Quickscoping took skill either way, you have one shot to make or else the noob with the smg is going to merk you…It was an awesome part of the game and made amazing videos too show off, once the game got old the hardness of qs lessened but it dosen’t matter doing 360’s for the final kill cam is awesome. However, COD4 did sniping was actual sniping and I guess its time to remake this game back to the old days just better because MW2 direction with the game was an utter fail. its an up and a down!

I’m pretty sure most people dislike “quickscopers” because they’re shit snipers. There’s very few players in pubs who are actually capable of quickscoping. There’s decent snipers, but they’re usually closer to hardscoping than quickscoping. Honestly, it’s a misguided move making SoH unavailable to snipers. How many quickscopers do you see in MLG matches? Very few, because quickscoping is 10x harder than just using a Famas16 and is only effective in certain situations where you don’t have time to switch to a secondary. Could it be that treyarch is simply trying to appease the whiners, who will find any facet of the game to blame their failures on? Other than noobtubes, commando, and an unbalanced party system, there’s not many things that are legitimate problems. It’s just become trendy to say “Modern warfail is bullshit!”
I think that “quickscoping” was corny and tiresome to die before I can even see what’s happening. The natural lag of the game kills any chance of killing the noob running around with a sniper rifle. We all know that sniper rifles were not intended for that. I don’t see anything wrong with sniper rifles being left to snipers.
I would give the thumbs up to quickscopers if they actually had to hit their targets for hits and kills. I have watched many killcams where the QSer fires and misses by feet and they are awarded the kill. When I use the same weapon and hit someone center-mass, nothing happens.
I think my opinions would be different if the shots that hit kill and the ones that miss don’t.
I dont like saying im a great quickscoper, but many people say i am. I dont like showing off or anything like that, but i have something to add :) i observed that in cod 6, if you quickscope with SoH pro, and then quickscope without SoH pro, the accuracy is the same, but u just have to get used to it looking kinda funny without SoH pro, and it does take a bit more skill in my opinion, but id like to try some public matches quickscoping without SoH pro in MW2 before i play black ops, cause’ by reading this you should probably know im into quickscoping alot. Dont get me wrong, i use the assaults and SMG’s and stuff like that, but im into qucik scopes. So, a little practice and a little patience can get us quickscopers back up and running, eh?
I personally dont hate quickscopers. There are much worst thing in MW2 than quick scoping such as noob tubers, camping, and 4 hitmarkers to someone’s head and they live. Athough I do admit, it did get annoying when everyone decided to start quickscoping. There would be times where you would get quick scoped right in your own spawn. I think what treyarch is trying to do is make the game more challenging so that it actually takes some skill to get kills like in halo rather than getting lucky
quickscoping and knife throwing were the only things that actually took skills do to on mw2
Man, The reason why people used snipers was because it was fun and challenging, automatic weapons are so much easier to use, by encouraging former snipers and quick scopers to switch to fully automatic weapons will just pack the game with tons of better players, and discourage noobs from continuing to play :D
COD is supposed to be realistic to Trayarch and Fun to IW.. trayarch are taking fun things out to make it realistic and IW and putting fake stuff in to make it more fun.. you wouldnt see snipers in real life quick scoping lol but quick scoping is a lot of fun!

lol, there was rarely such a thing as QS in CoD4. I love how everybody complaining about it likely came late to the boat in the CoD series and plays on Xbox. QS sounds friggen retarded to me and is probably only used on consoles (since it has an aim assist feature anyway, doesn’t make it all that difficult). Good for Treyarch bringing CoD back to its roots a little bit. CoD used to be a game of skill, but ever since MW2 and WaW, it’s just been a garbage series filled with even more garbage players (especially on consoles). PC gamers will always be the true elite! I bet none of these QS kids ever even played CoD1 or the UO expansion. Now THOSE were great CoD games.

Ok then they should get rid of grenade launcher, at4, rpg, tac knife or ne other shit noobs used just to get kills. There are way way worse things then qsing in mw2. Like campers. Boosters. Etc. When you qs online almost every other player has a great advantage over you. If you qs you kno what im talkin about. If you dont then think bout it, when you qs you basically have one shot to get the kill. Unlike a assualt rifle or smg. Treyarch is making a huge mistake. most of the fags who cry when they get raped by a skilled quickscoper can´t pull off those shots and never snipe properly because when they play using bling pro with a heartbeat and a thermal scope and camp for the whole game, they are always getting owned by run and gunners. the point of sleight of hand on modern warfare 2 was to give snipers a chance to survive agains assault rifles, lmg, smgs and even machine pistols (!!!) that could put you down with 2 bullets when equipped with stopping power! quickscoping is fun and has saved my life countless times but guess what… i am not a dumb quickscoper, i use it only when i don´t have time to switch to my secondary. and now people are crying and the most difficult and challenging thing about mw2 is going to be nerfed, however i bet the other weapons are not going to have recoil, will kill even faster and will perform at long range perhaps better compared to real sniper rifles (they may kill you before you fucking adjust your aim!!!) FUCK YOU TREYARCH I AM GOING TO KEEP PLAYING MW2 and COD4 .|.
