The Director and Producer for the highly anticipated Final Fantasy XIII revealed recently that there are currently no plans for downloadable content in their big game.
Regarding the DLC content, we feel that the final product is 100% enjoyable…it’s the complete package. So we’re not planning any DLC at this time. In regard to the rumored cut content, we feel it was taken out of context. There are a lot of ideas that are brought to the table, and then the team takes the best ideas out of those, and the final product is polished that way.
No DLC may disappoint potential FFXIII buyers, but I feel Square Enix are taking the correct road. DLC makes me feel like I’m not getting the 100% package when I’m buying a game. Its supposed to be that you’re adding extra game time to the 100% package. Well, that’s just my opinion.
Anyway, wrapping this up, Square Enix has no current plans for DLC on FFXIII, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see any in the future. Final Fantasy XIII is set for release on March 9 in North America and PAL regions.
