A brand-new VR title, Space Junkies, has just been shown off by Ubisoft at E3 2018.
The title certainly sounds intriguing, being described by the developers as “a visceral, jetpack-fueled VR Arcade Shooter where you fly through deadly Orbital Arenas in hostile space, facing off in extreme battles!” Space Junkies is all about 1v1 and 2v2 battles in Orbital Arenas or “Orenas”, with combatants being able to select from an arsenal that includes fun sounding weapons, such as Sunblasters and Bioguns.
Being developed by Ubisoft Montpellier, the game is being built with both the Oculus Rift with Touch controllers and the HTC Vive and controllers in mind. On top of this Ubisoft confirmed it’ll also work with “Upcoming High-End Headsets”.
