Jurassic World Is Getting Its Own Pokemon Go Type Video Game

Pokemon Go popularized AR (augmented reality) video games back when it came out in 2016. Since that time, there have been many clones trying to capitalize on the popularity of the catching monsters out in the wild genre. Well Jurassic World Alive is another Pokemon Go clone that could be more of the better games of this type out there.

Universal Pictures and Ludia have joined up to release Jurassic World Alive sometime this Spring. The AR video game will be free to play this Spring ahead of the June 22nd, 2018 release date for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. It will be available for both iOS and Android devices via the Apple and Google Play stores respectively.

Here’s an official description from the press release: “In Jurassic World Alive, players can collect a variety of dinosaurs while exploring their own neighborhoods and cities around the world. Free in-game incubators and exclusive dinosaurs, including unimaginable creatures featured in Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom lie behind every corner, just waiting to be discovered.

The cool thing about this new game is that you can do more with the dinosaurs apart from just looking at them and catching them. Much like the Indominous Rex and Indominous Raptor, you can level up and genetically modify dinosaurs. After you level them up, you can partake in fun real time PvP arenas to see who has the best dinosaur!

You can pre-register to play the game now on the official website to get “a free rare incubator”. You can watch a trailer for the game below.
