Ouya has spoken out about the recently announced Amazon Fire TV device.
Speaking to CVG, Ouya CEO Julie Uhrman spoke out against the Amazon Fire TV:
Just as Amazon blazed a trail for a new way of selling online, Ouya invented a new way to think about console games. But for us, games are not simply an ‘added bonus’, they are the whole point.
Basically all she’s saying is that Amazon Fire TV isn’t focused on games. Unlike the Ouya which is a dedicated games machine. Either way, it will be interesting to see how Amazon fares in the future with it newly found focus on video game development.

Funny they are talking down about Amazon Fire tv. When Fire tv is without a doubt more powerful, more features, better build quality and will most likely get better games. I say this because Amazon has a very powerful name. They have the money to get more and more game studios in their camp. Even though Ouya is more gaming focused, I think that beings Amazon has the money to better support and update the Fire Tv. I think it will outsell and get more and better games many times over than Ouya. Ouya needs to make a more powerful version with a better interface in order to entice more devs to make exclusives for it.
