South Park: The Stick of Truth Actually Is Censored In New Zealand

After getting some customers excited, it’s sad to report that South Park: The Stick of Truth really is censored in New Zealand.

New Zealand online retailer Mighty Ape confirmed the following on their Facebook page:

Major FAIL for the NZ Ubisoft distributor – after assurances that the NZ version of South Park was UNCUT – they have sent us word this afternoon (after giving us all our stock!) that the NZ console edition is in fact edited! This affects the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions only — the PC version is uncut.

All pre-order customers will be contacted direct via email with this information ASAP. If you wish to cancel your pre-orders please contact our customer service monkeys

This means South Park: The Stick of Truth is only uncensored over in the USA. You can always order the PC version if you want to see the game in its full glory.

South Park: The Stick of Truth is released this week.

  1. Just canceled my pre-order, I refuse to buy/play a censored game. Fuck censorship. Guess I’ll just watch PewDiePie play it.
