Nidhogg may not be that well known to the masses, but it is Messhof’s two-player duel-based fighting game that won Indiecade 2013’s Game Design award, among many other awards over the last few years. After much waiting, the game has finally received a release date for Steam, according to a new trailer that was just released. Nidhogg will be officially arriving on January 13 on Steam.
Nidhogg is a very unique side-scrolling fighter that has you competing against your opponent with swords and hand-to-hand combat. Beyond the multiplayer action, Nidhogg will also come with single player and tournament modes in its Steam release.
