When you finish the main storyline of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, that’s where the challenge and fun begins as the end-game content finally opens up.
As with all MMOs, one of the things players do in end-game is run through dungeons, get the currency or tokens it drops from bosses and use them to redeem for high quality equipment. In Final Fantasy XIV, players will do the same and will have to grind for an item called “Allagan Tomestone of Philosophy” and “Allan Tomestone of Mythology”. These two items are the currency the game is using for anyone who wishes to get the end-game equipment that they can use to run for raids.
Between the two tomestones, the Philosophy are the ones that are easier to get while the Mythology will take some time for everyone to farm.
Caps for Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy and Mythology
In the two currencies that are currently available in the game, players will get a cap. For the Philosophy and Mythology Tomestones, players are allowed to carry up to 2,000. When it comes to a weekly cap, only the Mythology tomestone gets one and it’s 300.
The weekly cap for the Tomestone of Mythology will reset every Monday at 8AM PDT.

(Note: This dungeon gives out the most Tomestone of Mythology)
– The Wanderer’s Palace
50 Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy
– Castrum Meridianum
100 Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy
(Note: Running through this story dungeon will give you the highest Tomestones of Philosophy in the game.)
– The Praetorium

Primal Battles
– Ifrit Hard Mode
10 Allagan Tomestone of Philosophy
4 Allagan Tomestone of Mythology
– Garuda Hard Mode

What Kind of Equipments/Gears Can I Get?
– You can use the Tomestones that you farm in Revenant’s Toll. Find the NPCs located in one of the tents. Talk to “Auriana” and choose which gear you would like to purchase. To have the complete Darklight set, you must use your Tomestone of Philosophy. To get the current high-end gear right now, use your Tomestone of Mythology.
