Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 has received a new gameplay trailer which shows Dracula utilizing various powers against formidable foes. Konami has released this new trailer to detail the strategic, fast-paced combat found within their sequel. From what we’ve seen, the game is coming together nicely and may be able to pull itself away from the numerous God of War combat comparisons suffered by the first entry and stand on its own with the team’s new inclusions.

The Void Sword, for example, allows a more up-close-and personal approach that grants Dracula the ability to siphon life from enemies without having to physically grab them and bite their neck. You can view this and more in two battles — one against a stone golem and the other against sword-wielding demons — in the video below.

Castelvania: Lords of Shadow 2 is set to launch on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 28th.
