Xbox 720 To Receive A Sci-Fi FPS Exclusive From Former Call of Duty Developers

respawn entertainment xbox 720 exclusive

When a next generation console is launched, the one thing that is a selling point is what type of exclusive games will be available. It’s been reported by Kotaku that the Xbox 720 could receive a science fiction based FPS from former developers of the Call of Duty franchise.

The developer in question is Respawn Entertainment which was comprised of Call of Duty’s original creators back in 2010. Sources tell Kotaku this FPS game will be released on the Xbox 720 and could also makes it way onto the Xbox 360 too. As of now, there are no versions planned for any Nintendo or Sony console.

It’s being described that this game is a futuristic online shooter with a “David and Goliath” type theme. The “Davids” are heavy foot soldiers while the “Goliaths” are the giant exosekeltons. Sources have told Kotaku that the game is “always online”. There was no mention if the game had a single player mode so it sounds like it will be an multiplayer only type of game.

Microsoft will fully announce the Xbox 720 (or whatever name it will have) on May 21st, 2013. There’s a chance we may see what this game may look like then.
