Consumers aren’t the only people that are upset about the proposed ban of used games on the PS4 and Xbox 360. One game developer has spoken out about the issue calling it “stupid”.
Walid Miled, a games developer at Spiders Studio said:
“I think that’s something stupid actually. That’s my point of view. I live in France, and in France, compared to the UK, game prices are very high I can’t stand paying 70 Euros for a game. And by doing so [implementing second-hand blocks] they just kill every way to lower the prices for games and make them available to everyone.”
He went on to say that the pre-owned market allows gamers to buy AAA titles whenever they want at a lower price. If this market is gone, gamers might have to wait longer for the price to go down for a specific game they want.
