Since 1998, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time held the top spot as the best reviewed game of all time. Its 14 year long reign is now over as Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii has managed to edge past it.
It’s weird how this could have happened though since Super Mario Galaxy came out in 2007. Maybe another score was taken into account just recently and was only added a few days ago? In either case, Nintendo should be happy since three of its games are in the top spots.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 is in third place while Grand Theft Auto IV is in fourth place. Rounding out the top five is the first Soul Calibur game that was released for the Dreamcast.
Bear in mind, this is just data collated from Game Rankings. The Metacritc score has Legend of Zelda with a score of 99/100 while Super Mario Galaxy is at 97/100.
