Nintendo has stepped forward and announced that they will be publishing Bayonetta 2 exclusively for their upcoming Wii U console. This shocking announcement was made during the Japanese Nintendo Direct broadcast that happened earlier in the day. The producer of the previous title, Yusuke Hashimoto, is now directing the title while Hideki Kamiya is supervising production. Atsushi Inaba will serve as producer on the title. His works include God Hand, Okami, Vanquish and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
It was also stated that character designer Mari Shimazaki will return along with Masami Ueda, who will once again compose the soundtrack for the game. Fans will definitely be pleased to see that old faces are returning, but they may not be too happy about the price they have to pay in order to play the sequel.
