Borderlands 2 Getting The Season Pass Treatment

Borderlands 2 will be getting a Season Pass according to the GameStop Managers Conference that is being held tonight. The pass will cover all 4 of the upcoming title’s expansions for the price of $30. I am sure that if you are a hard core fan of the series (like I am) you will be picking it up in order to get the cheaper price, rather than paying more for each one individually.

The only piece of DLC that has been announced by Gearbox so far is the Mechromancer class, which will be available after the game launches. Hopefully we can expect content that rivals the awesome stuff we got in the first title. Borderlands 2 releases on September 18 for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

  1. I pre-ordered the loot chest edition and I believe that includes the Mechromancer DLC (to download when available).. So would this season pass still be cheaper? The best they could do is include the pass in the loot chest edition, seeing I’m paying a load of money already for it…

  2. Wouldn’t affect one another. Based off the wording, only expansions are included. These would larger DLC packs and not include things like a new character class. However one of the expansions might include the class, but we will see when the time comes.
