A beta has surfaced for Assassin’s Creed III, despite earlier comments from the game’s lead designer stating that we wouldn’t be seeing a public testing phase. Tim Browne, the aforementioned lead designer, went on record saying that the entire Assassin’s Creed III experience would undergo testing in-house and, with that, justified the absence of a beta.
It would seem that someone changed their mind or that Browne was misinformed. People on the PlayStation Network have started spotting other gamers partaking in a closed beta for Assassin’s Creed III. Whether or not this beta will ever go public remains to be seen, but it has definitely caught our interest. We will be sure to keep you updated as the story develops, so be sure to check back soon.
