In an interview with USA Today, Christophe Balestra (co-President of Naughty Dog), explained that they are hoping to “redefine video games” with their latest PS3 Exclusice “The Last of Us.”
”We’re trying to move the medium of video games into an area elevated in the same manner of respect of film. We want to redefine what our medium is even called. ‘Video game’ is not an accurate name anymore. It is not necessarily a game with rules and a winner and a loser. It’s an experience.”
Not sure how they are planning on doing this but if any game studio could be capable of doing such a thing, I would put my money on Naughty Dog.
