Users of Nintendo’s family-friendly system have been mostly left out of the Call of Duty scene only having received Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare a full two years after its release on consoles. During an investors earnings call today Activision stated that Modern Warfare 3 would indeed be coming to the Wii sometime this year.
Owners of the Wii never saw the release of Modern Warfare 2 on their console so they may be a bit lost if they never played it up to this point.It is still unknown what studio will be handling the Wii version of the game and if it will even support the new Call of Duty Elite program. Modern Warfare 3 will hit the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on November 8, 2011.
