Unknown Hacker Trying To Crack New PS3 Firmware

An unknown hacker has been hard at work trying to figure out Sony’s latest firmware update.

While this person hasn’t been able to decrypt it, the anonymous individual has put together a PDF theory document for others so that they may become more familiar with the firmware. By doing so the number of people involved in this mission to outwit Sony once again will most likely increase steadily.

The technique outlined in the .PDF will help people learn more about 3.6x firmwares.
The solution relies on the implementation of a second NOR/NAND Flash.
Some technical limitations have been identified. But time will help us to remove them.

It is unfortunate to see people still trying to get around the firmware regardless of their intentions because we all just witnessed the repercussions of such acts recently.
