Nintendo Wii Jumping Into Security Technologies?

Well if they aren’t then they should. Information was divulged from CNN that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is currently investigating whether or not Wii Balance Boards can be used to effectively detect fidgety passengers and target them for more scrutinized screening. The idea comes as part of the Future Attributes Screening Project or “FAST” for short where the board would be used to measure the “physiological signs” that could allude to someone potentially wanting to cause harm. One of these signs in particular is being  fidgety (under the right circumstances of course). The FAST project is also measuring heart rate, breathing, body temperature and eye movement. Researchers are currently using modified Wii Balance boards in the initial stages of the project. Wonder if they plan on using the Wii Vitality sensor?
