Crime Scene Review

It’s not often that I find myself having to look through the instruction booklet of a game just to learn how to play it. Most games these days offer in game tutorials, and start off basic enough that even the most moderate of gamers won’t have much trouble quickly catching on to the mechanics.

Bayonetta Review

A great way to start off the New Year is by playing Sega's Bayonetta for the PlayStation 3 or XBOX 360. Bayonetta is simply one of the best action adventure games since the release of Devil May Cry 4. There are many things that need to be noted for Bayonetta that stand out more than Dante or Nero of the Devil May Cry series. Since its release and announcement, Bayonetta continues to be compared to Devil May Cry 4. Let me say this, Bayonetta is more and far better than the Devil May Cry series. Got it?

PixelJunk Shooter Review

PixelJunk Shooter is the fourth installment in the series. The title includes the word "Shooter", but that is a tad misleading. Do not expect to be playing your average PSN shooter where you are under constant attack such as Super Stardust HD. PixelJunk Shooter has a lot to live up to with the previous games in the series doing so well in terms of review scores.

Atelier Annie: Alchemist of Sera Island Review

Atelier Annie is the first foray onto the DS for the popular Atelier Series from Gust. After three decent RPGs on the PS2 and even a few spinoffs, the Atelier series has become one of the most popular underground RPGs in recent times, despite it’s roots dating back to the SNES in Japan.

MotorStorm: Arctic Edge Review

Motorstorm: Arctic Edge brings the crazy off-road action to the PSP and keeps with traditions set by its console counterparts. So, does Motorstorm make a smooth transition to a smaller platform, or is it lacking what made the original so awesome?

MagnaCarta 2 Review

I'm a huge RPG fan and one of my favorite RPGs on the XBOX 360 was Lost Odyssey. It's been a while since I've played a decent RPG on the XBOX 360 console. From the RPG games that I've played; Last Remnant, Infinite Undiscovery, Tales of Vesperia, and Star Ocean: The Last Hope, those are the RPGs that I must say are pretty average and not too enthralling. With Magna Carta 2 finally out in the market for the XBOX 360, in what ways is this game any different from the games I mentioned above?

Brutal Legend Review

We are now in the fall season; which means gamers wallets are going to be getting pretty light. Uncharted 2 received a glowing review from us, but it’s not the only anticipated game releasing soon. Brutal Legend, the latest game by gaming legend Tim Schafer releases on the same day as Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Brutal Legend has had quite an interesting history, all of which have helped drum up tons of hype around the game. Though the question remains, does it live up to the hype surrounding it?

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Review

Back in 2007 Naughty Dog brought us a game so epic that it was advertised as a playable summer blockbuster. The game had a cinematic feel, and it could easily work as an adventure film in the vein of “Indiana Jones” or “The Mummy”. So it came as a surprise to no one that the developers quickly began working on a sequel after the success of the first game. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is the much-touted sequel and its every bit as good as the original and then some.

A Witch’s Tale Review

A Witch’s Tale is the latest DS RPG from our friends at Nippon Ichi Software. The game is a classic dungeon crawler, following the story of Lidell, a young witch on a big adventure. We’ve seen many games like this on the DS before, but does A Witches Tale standout from the others?

Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days Review

Disgaea has become one of the most popular underground franchises in modern gaming. It had it’s humble start back in 2003 on the PS2, and only through word of mouth did the game see any real recognition amongst the gaming community. Since then Disgaea has gone on to become one of the highest rated strategy RPGs of our time, and for good reason.

Halo 3: ODST Review

Halo 3: ODST is easily one of the most anticipated games of 2009. Originally planned to be a simple downloadable add-on, Halo 3: ODST eventually became much bigger than anyone could have anticipated and soon found itself releasing as a standalone disc. Along with a new Halo game comes tons of hype, but does the game live up to it’s hype?

Fate/Unlimited Codes is the latest 2D fighter from Capcom. Mini Ninjas Review

The first impressions of Mini Ninjas was pretty good, it seemed like a fun little title with solid gameplay and interesting fighting mechanics. However, sitting down with the final build has changed the perspective a bit. It should be noted that this review has been written by a different editor than the one who wrote [...]

Dissidia: Final Fantasy Review

Final Fantasy is one of the most popular video game franchises in the industry. Since we first started up our adventure on the NES, we haven’t been able to get enough of the mystical tales of warriors of light rescuing princesses and such.  Typically, it’s always been an RPG, and very few times has it [...]
