Commercially successful games get sequels and so it’ll probably not come as any surprise to learn that Dead Space may be getting a third iteration. That fact alone is not all that surprising, but our manner of learning it sure is. An Israeli news show touring EA’s Redwood Shores office happened across a Dead Space 3 logo and a wall that appears to house some concept art for the third game.
Naturally EA have opted to keep hushed about the game, commenting “We don’t have any news about the Dead Space franchise at this time.”
It’s entirely possible that the video is some elaborate, pointless hoax but seeing as another Dead Space game is practically guaranteed I can’t imagine why anyone would want to fake its reveal.
I almost miss the times when your favourite franchise getting a new reveal was a cause for excitement instead of being as certain as the sunrise.
