Wolves coming to Minecraft soon

Notch the man behind Minecraft has revealed a new animal will be coming with Minecraft Beta 1.4.

The new animal will be the wolf and it will be a rather unique as players will be able to tame it. The video of the “wolfies” was released alongside Notch saying “You can tame it and order it to follow you around, and it’ll work as a pet. They’re fairly rare, but they won’t despawn once you’ve tamed them.”

Well it certainly sounds like the update of Minecraft to 1.4 will be worth it just for wolves! Do you think the wolves will improve Minecraft or are they an unnecessary addition? Comment your opinions below.
