Runic Games has just announced that Torchlight 2 has managed to sell over 1 million copies worldwide since it launched last year.
Runic Games tweeted the following:
“We had an amazing 2012, and proud to say that #Torchlight2 has sold over 1 million units! Thank you! Happy New Year’s Eve everyone :)”
This is an impressive feat considering the game is only available for the PC and only came out last September. Not to mention the game received lots of delays as it was originally scheduled for release in 2011. At one point, an Xbox LIVE edition for the game was planned but eventually scrapped.
Steam is now selling the game for $14.99 up until January 5th, 2013.
