Halo 3: ODST Optimized for HDD Install

According to Stephen Toulouse, Microsoft’s Director of Policy and Enforcement of XBOX Live, Halo 3: ODST is optimized for HDD install for faster and smoother gameplay. It is no doubt that we can experience glitches along the way and maybe by installing the game on the HDD will fix these. This is also a good way to prevent disc read errors that some users are experiencing as they play Halo 3: ODST.

I never experienced any disc read errors so far and as far as glitches, it’s there. Maybe I need to install the game now… Are you?

  1. I installed it cuz I got stuck on the first “loading” screen after the intro (the green/black one with the blueprints of buildings or things like that floating around). Installing fixed that issue.
BTW: the game only needs 3.5gb, perfect for my good old 20gb harddrive :D

  2. Its funny to see how the people who own a 360 talked against ps3 because of the mandatory install, but on some game you dont really have the choice to install the game if you want a good experience while you play.
I remembere that there was a rpg on 360 that you needed to install the game to have a good experience with the game. I think it was the last remnant.
