Rumor: We Might Be Seeing Skyward Sword Ported To The Nintendo Switch

Over the years, Nintendo has re-released many The Legend of Zelda video games to various new platforms. Well now it sounds like we will finally be getting a port of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword on the Nintendo Switch sometime in the near future.

Reportedly, The Legend of Zelda series producer, Eiji Aonuma, hinted that a Nintendo Switch version of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword might be released in the near future. He revealed this exciting news in Osaka, Japan during a Zelda concert that was happening over the weekend.

Skyward Sword released back on the original Nintendo Wii console and it is one of the most polarizing Zelda games ever released. This is mainly due to the fact that players needed to use motion controls in order to do lots of things in the game. I remember being stuck in the game, until my brother had to help me with the controls.

If this port comes out on Switch, I hope they re-do the controls so you don’t have to use hand motions to control Link and his actions. Hopefully this news will become official when Nintendo makes a formal announcement on it.

Anyway, you can read an overview of the game posted down below via the Wikipedia page.
