Minecraft: Dungeons announced for PC; launches in 2019

Mojang is pleased to announce today that a new Minecraft adventure game called Minecraft: Dungeons will be coming to PC sometime in 2019.

The new Minecraft game is said to be a dungeon crawler adventure game where up to four players can team and battle together through an action-packed quest to save the villagers from an evil villain. Fans can look forward for new weapons and items as they clear up enemies.

Here is an overview of the game:

Fight your way through an all-new action-adventure game, inspired by classic dungeon crawlers and set in the Minecraft universe! Coming to PC in 2019.

Brave the dungeons alone, or team up with friends! Up to four players can battle together through action-packed, treasure-stuffed, wildly varied levels, all in an epic quest to save the villagers and take down the evil Arch-Illager!

Discover new weapons and items that will help you defeat a ruthless swarm of new-and-nasty mobs. Fight or flee through canyons, swamps and – of course – mines! Any adventurer brave or foolish enough (or a bit-of-both!) to explore this blocky and beautiful world will need to come prepared. So quickly, gear up!

Since the original Minecraft launched, the series of games released have developed from building blocks to a storytelling game produced by Telltagame and now a full-fledged action game on PC. Currently, the game is only coming to PC with no word if it will make it to other consoles like the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 or Nintendo Switch.

Fans of Minecraft should definitely look forward to this title as it’s something new and refreshing. There’s no definite release date yet for Minecraft: Dungeons but fans can definitely look forward to it sometime in 2019.
