The Serpent Soul is an essential item in Dragon Quest XI that players will need to farm if they are to craft a lot of the end-game equipment that will be useful in taking down the true end boss. As previously mentioned in our guide on how to farm Kaleidocloth, there are other things that you can get by exchanging Serpent Soul to Krystalinda in Sniflheim like Crimsonite or Black Tear.
Krystalinda in Sniflheim will start exchanging Kaleidocloth, Black Tear, and Crimsonite as soon as you start the post-game story. When you talk to her, she will tell you an easier way to farm Serpent Soul and that is in Celestial Sands. She’s actually correct on that one as there are a lot of monsters in there that carry the Serpent Soul.
Dragon Quest XI Serpent Soul
You can get a lot of Serpent Soul from either dragons or demon monsters. The majority of them can be found in the Trial of the Luminary, Snaerfelt, or the Celestial Sands.
For my method, I farm in the Celestial Sands and I hunt the demon monster called Pruslas that are located in the northern part of Celestial Sands. There are usually two that spawn in the area and luckily, they spawn pretty fast once they are down. Now, to get the Serpent Soul from Pruslas, make sure you have Erik in your party and have his Half-Inch skill that allows you to steal. If successful, you will be able to steal one Serpent Soul from Pruslas quite easily. If you miss it, try it again.
Just repeat the process and wait for Pruslas to appear in the Cesletial Sand.
Some of the equipment that requires you to farm Serpent Soul for Kaleidocloth, Crimsonite and Black Tear are:
– Supreme Sword of Light
– Artisinal Trodain Bandana
– Artisinal Trodain Tog
– Crown of Eternity
– Gown of Eternity
